Important Dates
Companion registration includes:
- Participation in the Opening Ceremony
- Get together with other companions
- Conference Banquet
- No access to the Technical or Plenary Sessions
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of participation can only be refunded if the cancellation is received in time:
- by 10 June 2025: 50% of the participation fee
- from 11 June 2025: no refund possible
- No-shows are not applicable for refunds.
Disclaimer
The Local Organization Committee of the SMiRT 28 shall not be liable for any failure or delay in holding the conference where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond their reasonable control. Such causes include, but are not limited to power failure, Internet Service Provider failure, industrial action, civil unrest, fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question.
If the above-mentioned event happens prior to the start of the conference causing the host secretariat to be unable to hold the conference, it shall refund registration fee in principle excluding costs of proceedings production and other related costs.
By registering for this event, you acknowledge and consent to the potential collection of photographs and video recordings during the conference, which may be used for promotional purposes, including sharing on social media and other platforms post-event. Additionally, you agree to the sharing of your name and email address with other participants for networking and communication purposes. If you have any concerns regarding this, please contact us prior to the event

Visa Invitation Letter for SMiRT28 Conference Attendees
International participants planning to attend the SMiRT28 Conference in Toronto, Canada, may require a visa to enter the country. To facilitate the visa application process, we have made a Visa Invitation Letter which is available on request.

- Download & Complete the Visa Invitation Letter:
- Please reach out to Rachael Callaghan (rachael.callaghan@quantumevents.ca) to receive the Visa Invitation Letter and fill in your personal details in the highlighted sections, including your full name, date of birth, passport number, and other required information.
- Make sure all the details you provide are accurate and match the information on your passport and other identification documents.
- Submit Your Visa Application:
- Once you have completed the Visa Invitation Letter, submit it along with your other required documents to the Canadian authorities as part of your visa application process.
- We recommend checking the official website of the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the most up-to-date information on visa requirements and submission guidelines.
